After the excellent season I have decide to take my shot at being a pro. I have a Business Manager working out sponsor deals and I want this to happne so I have started training. I can look at myself and say that I am not the best caster. I pick out back lashes too many times during a tourny and sometimes the lure just does not get to the point I want it to. So I decided that every other sport you practiced each fundemental to get good at them so I figured fishing was no different. So I have made up a routine that I am going to use for the next 6 months to really become a better caster.
I get up early each morning and take the boat to Murray. I am not fishing I go to a big wooden dock that has about 4 inches of clearance above the water and numerous gaps to hit and I start pitching a jig and trailer under the dock. I do this for 15 minutes. The next 15 minutes I skip a lure under the dock (with a baitcaster). Then the last 15 minutes I step on the trolling motor and cast with my opposite hand.
I have also started to do a physical workout in my garage 3 times a week.
And the information on this site and blog needs regular maintenace also.
