Writing some more
Could be anything, General July 15th, 2008I had to get some more writing done today so that was first on the list. I worked on my ebook for a while and then started doing some follow up items for some potential sponsors. I made the one phone call I needed to do and then did 3 follow up emails for the sponsor list.
I am also trying out a new cms system to re-work my website. I am looking at ModX and I really like its possibilities but I am having some issues wuth the learning curve. I know it will just hit me one of these days and it will all be clear but right now I m struggling.
I did the wife's hair this evening and it turned out pretty good.

Craig, glad to hear you are trying out MODx. I am sure you have tried out the forums but it can be a long trip for many.
What sort of things are you struggling with? Are you hoping to replace Wordpress with it? I wouldn’t recommend that if most of your work is blogging.
I should divulge that I am part of the MODx Marketing Team and though I would love to see more more people use MODx as a primary CMS it is not WordPress. In many respects it does far beyond what WP does but WP is a very focused, very well designed blogging platform. I still deploy sites that use a combination of WP and MODx if my clients are going to be using a blog as a primary effort. If it is secondary, it is absolutely fine to use MODx.
