I worked a few spots on the West side of the lake this morning.  My first spot I worked slowly from the front to the back.  As I was heading to the back an angler from the Federation Nation tournament passed me heading for a few beds in the back.  I went to the other side and kept fishing.  I watched the 2 of them pull in a pair of buck bass off the beds.  I was throwing a trap in front of some potential bedding sites and BAM a 4 pounder sucked that bait half way down her throat.  She did hers best to get off, jumping and surging hard but I got her in.  The other guys in the boat saw her.  I then made 2 more casts and WHAM this time she was close to 6 pounds.

On the way in I hit a few buck bass up shallow and and decided that was not going to help me much.

I continued my pattern in multiple areas with some success.  I did manage to find a cut that had a good number of fish shallow but were pretty skittish.  But these fish should be ready at the next full moon.
