One of the biggest assets I have in my arsenal is my Yamaha Engine. During a tournament I tend to make long runs to find fish no one else looks for. I always fish right up till the time I have to run, and when I mean run I fly with my Yamaha. I can not afford to have an engine that does not start or is unreliable. Daiichi Hooks - TTI-Blakemore
Daiichi makes very sharp hooks, it is that simple. When you set the hook on a fish the hook needs to penetrate the mouth before you can get him to the boat. When you make the sharpest hooks in the world you know the hook is going to stick in that fish. When a lost fish could be the difference between cutting a check and going home make the right choice and throw Daiichi hooks.
Real Magic - TTI-Blakemore
I have quite a few rituals that I go through before an event. I take all my rods and re-spool them. I tie on new baits, make certain the hooks are the sharpest in the world. Get my day box ready for the next days action. And while my rods are lined up on the gun whale I spray them with Real Magic. I spray the new line and the reel and hit the guides. I do not know what this spray is but it keeps my line fresh and my cast long. It is just one of those items that I never fish without.

There is no doubt that the fish are more aware these days. One tactic to help you out is to use tungsten weights. Tungsten is heavier than lead so the same size weight is much smaller. The shapes of the baits and the hardness make them slip through cover and a the mouth easier. So flippin’ is easier and hook sets are better.
Picasso Outdoors
When I am skipping docks with my Cache Custom Lures trigger worm I throw it on a Picasso Shakedown head. It has a small screw lock that really holds the bait on during a hard cast. The hooks are strong and sharp and the paint stays on during the inevitable collision with many dock posts.
I found this lure called the Silly Bunny in my local Bass Pro Shop. It is a hand poured swim bait. I had a lot of good luck with it. During the Forrest Wood Cup I just happened to meet the owners Kim and Shawn Straley. The silly bunny has a larger brother the Silly rabbit and both of them are killer lures. Give them a try.
Sometimes important items do not get the notority that other items get. This is the case with Ram Mounts. Ram Mounts can hold your electronics at any angle and even turn them around 180°. I use them all the time to keep the screen glare to a minimum. If you have a boat with built in electronics you know that any time the sun is behind you it puts a glare on your screen. A Ram Mount will take care of this.
Reese Hitch Products
Here is another one of those products that do not get enough attention. There is no way I could get my boat or 5th wheel to an event without these products. They make a hitch for every application. And most installations are simple bolt ons.
New to my 2009 lineup are the 100% USA made Vision Lures. They offer a complete line of Buzz baits and Spinner baits. These baits are hand made with quality components. The design makes it especially difficult for a bass to shake the lure loose. It has a pivot between the head and hook that separates the weight so that fish can not use it for leverage.
