My last day of practice
I went out of Clewiston this morning and I was going to show Reggie how to run a few areas. Since I have been here a while now I know what you can do. So I showed him the run and know he understands what you can do. I took him to an area and showed him what to look for as far as water color and conditions.
To find out he hit some fish now and is very grateful.
I made the run into Cochrans Pass and hit a 2 pounder pretty quick. But I ended up having 6 boats in the area and it is not going to support that many fisherman. So I ran out of there and kept heading North.
I ran to the area that I need to keep an eye on and still did not see anything. But I have this funny feeling that it is going to be like a light switch and the fish will be there and eating.
Then I headed toward my main area the one is a bedding spot and I marked 20 beds that have a fish better than 2 pounds nearby on or in the beds. Now if the weather stays warm and the fish lock on I will be there but right now they are not catchable.
Then I stopped at my #1 spot and it took 18 minutes to hook a keeper.
Then I had to make the 27 mile run back to the ramp. It was a little rough with 3-5 footers and a good wind. It took 55 minutes to make it back.
Now tomorrow is a fishable day but I like the way the Series and Tour does it and has that day off so I am going to sleep in a little and then get my boat all ready and clean her up a bit. And just plan my day out.
