Back to the Big “O”
I got everything ready last night and I got up at 3:00 am. I snuck out from under Travis’ arm and gave the Wife a kiss or two goodbye.
I was about in Orlando when the Wife called and said I forgot something important; my phone charger. I also remembered that I forgot to pack a fork knofe and spoon.
But I got on the water about 1:00 or so and since I was up at the North end of the lake I went out of Taylor Creek. I was hoping that the big spawning error Brian and I found on the last tourny was still hot. But with the lake being at 13.04 now it is 7 inches low. I went through the area and saw a few little fish and not much else.
We did find out after the fact that there is a canal system in the back of this bay so I went in to find it. I was on the trolling motor for hours getting to it and I did manage to see a few better fish but I believe it is just not feasible to make that huge run for these fish.
I hit a few other spots in Taylor but all the results were the same small fish. The best and only keeper I hit was about 2 pounds.
I loaded up and went to a nearby Verizon store to find a charger for my phone of course they did not have one so I hit Wal-Mart and found one that fit my phone. It is not for my type of phone but it works.
